The Meikle Carewe Wind Farm Community Fund will open for applications from community groups from next Tuesday, July 1.
Applications to the fund can be made from groups and projects which benefit the communities.
Applications cover the community council areas of Crathes, Drumoak and Durris; Newtonhill, Muchalls & Cammachmore; North Kincardine Rural; Portlethen and District; Stonehaven & District.
RES, the energy company who developed the Meikle Carewe Wind Farm, has established the Community Fund which will see £21012.50 per year (index linked) available to support local community projects during the lifetime of the wind farm.
The fund is open for applications from July 1 until September 30.
A panel made up of representatives from the community council areas along with a representative from RES and Kincardine & Mearns Area Partnership (KMAP) will then meet in December to consider applications.
