Primary 5 Level received their level one certificates

Pupils at Laurencekirk Primary School have learned some lifesaving skills and received their certificates in First Aid.

The primary five, six and seven youngsters went through different levels of First Aid which covered a wide range of incidents, including choking, bleeding, burns and resuscitation.

Primary 5 level one certificate covered: asthma, choking, communication and casualty care, coping in an emergency, primary survey and recovery position.

Primary 6 level two certificate covered: bites and stings, bleeding (minor), bleeding and shock, burns and scalds, foreign objects and poisons.

Primary 7 level three certificate covered: bone, muscle and joint injuries, chest pains, electric shock, fainting and resuscitation.
