Pupils all around Kincardine and Mearns took part in UNICEF’s Day for Change with different fundraising efforts being taken up.
UNICEF’s Day for Change took place last Friday (February 7) and gave pupils a chance to learn about what life is like for children around the world.
Over 1800 schools took past in the 2013 event.
Day for Change was all about education with 68 million children around the world not having access to it.
Dunnottar Primary School had children dressed as teachers and other professions which made it very difficult to tell who was who for Leader reporter Lee McCann when he called in.
The primary three children also had a coffee morning to raise funds while pupils at St Cyrus School had a dress as you please and bad hair day on the Friday which raised £175.
Portlethen Primary School also got involved with teachers dressed as students and pupils having a bake sale which raised £540 on the day for UNICEF.
