An elderly gentleman died in hospital after collapsing in the Market Square in Stonehaven on Sunday.
Police were alerted when members of the public found the man in his vehicle in the town square on Sunday.
Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Police received a report of an elderly male who had collapsed in the Market Square area of Stonehaven on Sunday morning. He was conveyed to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary where sadly he died. There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding the death.”
A family member commented on a Mearns Leader post: “On behalf of the family we would like to thank all of the Emergency Services and members of the public that came to his aid.”
