A three figure sum of cash was stolen from Maggie May’s on the Market Square in Stonehaven this week.
Police are appealing for any information regarding the incident and have said they believe the theft happened on Monday night or in the early hours of Tuesday.
The family run business is owned by Paul and Lynne Bowden. Lynne currently sits on the Stonehaven and District Community Council.
A Police Spokespersons said: “Police Scotland informed of a break-in to a commercial property in the Market Square area of Stonehaven on Tuesday 12 May.
“The break in and theft is believed to have happened between 5.30pm on Monday 11 May and 9.50am on Tuesday 12 May and a low-three figure sum of cash stolen.
“Anyone who may have information relating to this incident is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 if you wish to remain anonymous.”
