The Stonehaven Chorus would like to thank all who attended their coffee morning and afternoon tea at “Le Cafe de Paris” on Saturday, May 3.

They are also grateful for the many compliments received on their organisation of the event.

In response to their earlier plea for cake-stands they received the amazing offer of 55, of varying types and dimensions.

The French-styled afternoon tea party began with Chorus members entertaining their guests with some familiar French songs.

Guests then enjoyed a delicious and plentiful afternoon tea, their grand prize draw.

A wonderful variety of items displayed on their various stalls, enticed many to buy.

Co-ordinator, Evelyn Watt, was delighted at how the event had been received and said the result was a day enjoyed by

everyone involved, not least the great team of helpers who did a marvellous job of keeping their guests happy.

She added that they had raised in excess of £2000 which will be carefully spent by the Stonehaven

and District Choral Society on sheet music and funding future concerts.
