In May 2011 the Tolbooth Museum reopened with limited financial support from Aberdeenshire Council and a huge voluntary effort by the local community.
For the last 15 months the museum has been operated by a loosely knitted group of enthusiasts.
However, given the overwhelming success of the museum in attracting locals and tourists alike it was felt that a more formal management approach was required.
On September 1, a newly formed charity – Stonehaven Tolbooth Association – took over the day to day running of the museum and a board of Trustees under the chair of Cressida Coates was elected.
our picture shows some of the Trustees who will run the local attraction for the next 12 months.
