Alice Morgan and members of the Auchenblae Village Hall organised an art show and raised £2635 for the stroke rehabilitation unit at Stracathro Hospital.

Alice’s husband Kenny had a stroke in 2011 and was cared for by the team in the stroke unit for five months. In appreciation of the care Kenny received from the medical nursing and physiotherapy staff, Alice decided to organise an art show to raise money.

Alice and friends Sue Hodgson and Gina Easter organised the art show with the help of friends and relatives. The fund total was boosted by the sale of Christmas cards designed by amateur artists Margaret Muiry and Grace Dumphie.

Accepting the Smith, Interim Lead Officer/Lead Clinician, Tayside Stroke MCN said, “I would like to thank everyone involved for their efforts in raising this money which is very much appreciated and will be used for a riser chair.”
