Horror fans are set to descend on Pittodrie Stadium this Hallowe’en after the venue announced plans to screen two special outdoor showings of cult film, The Exorcist.
Pittodrie’s event partner, Sodexo Prestige Venues & Events have released 240 tickets this week for the drive-in movie, which will be shown on a giant screen in the stadium’s car park at 5pm and 9pm on Friday 28th October. Those interested are being urged to book their tickets as soon as possible after a similar event, which will bring the Christmas movie Elf to the Club in December, sold out in just 24 hours.
Debra Lorimer, Sales Manager for Sodexo at Aberdeen Football Club, said: “We were overwhelmed by the huge response to our Christmas cinema event, with more than 200 tickets disappearing overnight.
“Our Friday Fright Night showing offers something different for the grown-ups and should provide a scary start to the city’s Hallowe’en celebrations.
“Our chefs will also be providing a range of spooky snacks including Horror Dogs and Witches Brew, which will be available to buy on the night.”
Tickets are £21 per car and viewers must be over-18. Cinema-goers simply tune their car radio to the event’s station to hear the film.
Sodexo has enjoyed a partnership with Aberdeen Football Club for more than 20 years, providing catering and hospitality on both match-days and non-matchdays. The team is responsible for more than 200 events every year, including corporate meetings, conferences and private social occasions.
