Portlethen pupils have taken part in UNICEF’s Day for Change, raising funds by creating a silver snake in the playground.
The chidren got involved in the national event last Friday, February 6.
Pupils and teachers each took along a silver coin so they could be placed together to create a snake in the playground.
P6 Summer Lawson and P3 Lola Philips are the RRSA representatives who helped organise the snake.
Every year the UNICEF UK’s day for change focuses on a different theme.
This year’s theme was all about protecting children caught in emergencies, such as the recent Philippines typhoon and Syria conflict.
You can see a video of how long the silver coin snake reaches on the Mearns Leader website.
