Entry forms for this year’s Marykirk Raft Race on May 15 are now available from the Marykirk Hotel.
All crews who competed last year should have received their forms by post, but the committee always welcome new entrants.
Organiser Charles Gordon said: “To help anyone who is considering forming a crew and entering, but has a problem finding flotation drums, we have very kindly been offered a supply of clean 45 gallon drums by Body and Face St Cyrus Ltd. Anyone requiring some should contact Bill Carr on 01561 378 811. Drums can be collected from Laurencekirk.
“Once again, we will be having Scotland’s largest portable slide on the park after the race. This was a great attraction last year, and if you didn’t try it then, the 15th May will be your chance to have a go!
“In addition to the slide there will be lots of other attractions, including a dog show, starting at 11am, and a wide range of Craft and other stalls, and refreshments for children and adults. “Please come along and support this fund-raising event which will. this year, be supporting several local organisations as well as the main beneficiary, CHAS - the Children’s Hospice Association Scotland.”
