Residents urged to complete broadband survey

Aberdeenshire Council is urging residents and businesses to complete and return broadband survey postcards which have been posted to all addresses as part of the council’s work with the Scottish Government to improve Aberdeenshire’s broadband coverage and services.

Residents and businesses are advised that if they have not received a postcard survey, or if it has been lost, they can collect a new postcard from their local Area Office or public library. Alternatively, a postcard can be requested by emailing their name and delivery address to econdev@aberdeenshire.gov.uk

Aberdeenshire Council has already agreed to contribute up to £18million to improve broadband services in the area but it must provide evidence of demand from residents and businesses in order to be in the best position to demonstrate the need for the infrastructure improvements involved to the Scottish Government.

Completed postcards should be returned by Thursday, February 28.
