The fundraising team involved with Inverbervie Pre-School Group are keeping things fresh and interesting again this year by holding a Royal Wedding themed Race Night with a full on Ascot Ladies Day feel.
The local community are being asked to attend the event, held in and sponsored by The Crown Hotel, King Street, in style, wearing hats, fascinators the lot!
the Royal Wedding is the theme of the evening and with Inverbervie being a Royal Burgh, it seemed fitting to celebrate the occassion in this way.
Over the last three years the ladies of the Pre-School Group have had some crazy fundraising ideas and pulled them off, with sponsored leg waxes, pamper nights and even a nude calendar.
The women are always up for a challenge and a laugh and always put a lot of hard work into their fundraising, publicity and decorations.
Local lady Caroll Evans is standing down as fundraiser after three years in the post to concentrate on a more serious committee position.
“We always fundraise hard because its our children who reap the rewards of our hard work, and their education is our main priority,” said Caroll.
the fundraising team was set up initially to help an ailling group which was months away from closure due to financial issues and lack of numbers.
with hard work from the previous two committees and with the backing of the local community and businesses they have proved that anything is possible.
Inverbervie Pre-School Group is now a very prosperous group with maximum numbers within the 2s Group and the Playgroup and a lot of exciting plans for the future. They are a great team of dedicated volunteers and a lot of good fun has been had along the way!
