The Kincardine and Mearns safety group future is at risk due to a lack of volunteers to keep it running.
This week we were contacted by Kirsty Alchin Vice Secretary of the group who told us that the group is in need of new members including a Chair and a Secretary.
The next meeting is today (Thursday June 25) at the Stonehaven Resource Centre at 7.30pm. Kirsty said: “We can assist groups and clubs and villages and towns in the area if they are needing funding for a safety issue.
“We have also funds that we put towards Pass Plus which new teenage drivers can apply for and claim some money back towards the cost of their intensive course once they pass. We have also supplied slap bands which are hi vis that were provided to primary schools in Portlethen so that the children can be seen at night time when the days get darker.”
