The Slug Road will be closed at the end of this month as part of essential repairs Aberdeenshire Council have said this week.
The A957 will be closed for two weeks as repairs are carried out on the bridge following a vehicle collison.
A spokesperson for Aberdeenshire Council said: “The A957 Slug Road will be closed at Blairydrine Bridge from Monday, August 31st for two weeks to allow for essential repairs to the bridge following a vehicle collision. An alternative route will be available via the A957, B9077, A90, Kirkton Road and Farrochie Road in Stonehaven, and the A957. Pedestrian access will be maintained in all cases, as will vehicle access to affected properties where possible. Aberdeenshire Council apologises for any inconvenience.”
