Are you brave enough to tackle the Dip with a Nip? Clic Sargent are calling for those up for it to jump into the North Sea this New Year’s Day.
Clic Sargent a childrens cancer charity launched the six annual Stonehaven ‘Dip with a Nip’ this past August and are calling for those mad dippers brave enough to sign up for a sponsored dook in the icy depths of Stonehaven Harbour.
Money raised will help children and young people with cancer with the event raising thousands of pounds in previous years.
The dip will take place from noon on January 1, 2014 and all participants will be treated to a free Clic Sargent T-shirt, a gym bag (from Woodview Embroidery), a bag of sweets from Auny Betty’s and hot soup courtesy of Cool Gourmet. The Lions club is providing the tables and equipment needed. Over 18’s can also warm themselves up with a wee nip sponsored by Dunnottar Wine and Spirits.
Fundraising manager for Grampian and Shetland Belinda Babin said money raised really does make a difference. She said: “The dip has gone from strength to strength since its first launch and I am sure there are lots of people who will join in the fun and help us raise much needed funds to make a difference to the lives of children and young people with cancer.”
