Stonehaven Air Cadets show their excellent skill at arms

Stonehaven Air Cadets Force had a successful day at the Regional Skills at Arms meeting, winning the team event.

Two teams from 1297 (Stonehaven) Squadron along with a team from 228 (Montrose) and a composite team from 2422(Arbroath) and 2231 (Forfar) Squadrons represented the North East of Scotland Wing.

A very successful day saw the A team from Stonehaven win the team event.

Further success came to the Stonehaven cadets with the Individual competition being won by F/Sgt Christian Avis with a winning total score of 30/30.

There was also a reserve firer competition which was won by Cdt Nick Avis from 1297 Squadron with a score of 17/30 and in third place was his brother Daniel with 14/30

The skill of the cadets was tested over 100m, 200m, and 300m in a number of competitions, using the L98A2 cadet general purpose rifle.
