This festive season Stonehaven Town Hall has a number of films showing.

Thursday 27 and Friday 28 December sees the return of Stonehaven Cinema and a range of films are on offer. Madagascar 3 at 1pm Thursday December 27 and 3.30pm Friday December 28, Madagascar 3 sees the return of characters such as Alex the Lion, Marty the Zebra, Melman the Giraffe and Gloria the Hippo as they join a traveling circus in an effort to get back home to New York.

Rise of the Guardians 3.30pm Thursday December 27 and 1pm Friday December 28. Join your beloved childhood legends as they join forces to protect the children of the world in DreamWorks Animation’s Rise Of The Guardians.

Twilight Breaking Dawn, 7pm Thursday December 27, in the final instalment of the popular Twilight Saga, following the birth of Renesmee the Cullens must fight to protect the family.

James Bond Skyfall, 7pm Friday December 28, After an operation in Istanbul ends in disaster, James Bond is missing and presumed to be dead, and the identities of every active MI6 undercover agent are leaked onto the Internet. In the aftermath, questions are raised over M’s ability to run the Secret Service. When the service itself is attacked, Bond’s sudden reappearance gives M the pretext she needs to seek out Raoul Silva, a dangerous villain claiming a personal connection to both of them – but as he follows a trail from London to the South China Sea, Bond soon finds his loyalty to M challenged over secrets from her past.

Then start the New Year on a high with the chance to see The Hobbit at Stonehaven Cinema on Saturday January 5. The Hobbit showings at 2pm and 6.30pm “The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey” follows title character Bilbo Baggins, who is swept into an epic quest to reclaim the lost Dwarf Kingdom of Erebor, which was long ago conquered by the dragon Smaug. Approached out of the blue by the wizard Gandalf the Grey. Their journey will take them into the wild and through treacherous lands.
