Brave dippers took part in the annual ‘Dip with a Nip’ at Stonehaven Harbour on New Year’s Day - to raise money for Clic Sargent.

Clic Sargent, a children’s cancer charity, launched the sixth annual Stonehaven ‘Dip with a Nip’ back in August and mad dippers signed up for the sponsored dook in the icy depths of Stonehaven Harbour.

Money raised will help children and young people with cancer - the event having raised thousands of pounds in previous years.

All participants were treated to a free Clic Sargent T-shirt, a gym bag (from Woodview Embroidery), a bag of sweets from Aunty Betty’s and hot soup courtesy of Cool Gourmet. The Lions Club also provided the tables and equipment needed.

Over-18’s warmed themselves up with a wee nip sponsored by Dunnottar Wine and Spirits.
