Organisers of a scheme set up to help Stonehaven residents protect their homes from flooding are appealing for others to come forward.
The Stonehaven Flood Action group have commissioned representatives from the Scottish Flood Forum to visit homes in the town and make reccommendations and identify areas which may need flood protection.
Money raised through fundraising will then be spent on buying equipment for anyone who needs it.
A list of required equipment has been compiled, and they are now at the stage where there are ready to begin purchasing everything they need.
However, before they do, Alan Craig from the Flood Action Group told the Leader this week that they were making one last appeal for anyone wishing their home to be assessed to come forward.
He said: “We went round all of the homes in at risk areas, but some of the homeowners have not responded.
‘‘We are at the stage now where we are ready to start buying what is needed, so if there is anyone who has not been included and wishes to be, they will need to come forward soon.’’
