A MOTHER-OF-FOUR from Stonehaven has raised more than £3,500 for a childrens cancer charity after she completed the London marathon on April 17.

Angela Craig (44) finished the gruelling course in a time of five hours and 21 minutes, cheered on by her husband Dave and children Poppaea (11), Donald (8), Madeline (6) and Dougal (2).

Angela was raising money for Children with Lukaemia, a charity which is close to her heart as her son Donald was diagnosed with the disease when he was just four years old. Although he is still required to attend regular six-weekly check-ups, his treatment finished last year, and Angela said that her decision to run the marathon was “to say thank you and give a little back.”

The money will be used to fund research into improving the treatment of children who have lukaemia.

Anyone who wishes to add to Angela’s total can still do so at www.justgiving.co.uk/Angela-Craig.
