Portlethen & District Rotary Club have a received a big “thank you” from doctors and staff at Portlethen Medical Centre for their recent £400 contribution towards the purchase of a new £500 digital Ear, Nose & Throat Diagnostic Unit for the centre.
The practice has now installed two of these sets, one for the GP Registrar’s room and the other for the treatment rooms. They are invaluable to doctors and staff and combine an auriscope dealing with ear, mouth and skin diagnostics and also an opthalmoscope for looking into patient’s eyes.
The Rotarians’ donation was part of funding for various local causes raised by local club member Skea Ross at a sponsored Charity Games Weekend held in Newtonhill on May 25.
Other funding from the weekend went mainly to cancer support and research groups.
A cheque supporting the equipment purchased was presented to Dr Graeme Miller and practice healthcare assistant Sarah Scott by Portlethen & District President Allan McDonald.
They are all pictured above.
