Gayna from TinyTalk Angus & The Mearns who runs classes in Laurencekirk and Montrose is a finalist in the Most Outstanding Activities leader for the under 5’s in Scotland and Northern Ireland category which means that Gayna is in the top few providers in the UK as voted for by parents.

Gayna said “During each class our very special mix of songs and rhymes, puppets, sensory activities, books, instruments and social playtime over a drink and biscuit stimulates your baby’s development, is wonderful for families to spend quality time engaging with their little one and an opportunity to make friends too!

“Using simple ‘baby signs’ allows your baby to express their needs and thoughts long before they can talk, cutting out the guesswork for you! Babies are thrilled when they’re understood, from just a few months old, building a very special bond with you, and promoting vital early communication skills.

“To be a finalist once is amazing to be a finalist for a second time is completely overwhelming! I feel hugely rewarded by the incredible feedback from the people who attend my classes and of course by seeing the happy babies signing to make themselves understood, with my youngest baby signer so far being only four months old.”

The winners of the awards will be announced on June 19 at the official awards ceremony at Drayton Manor.

Every children’s activity, class, volunteer and party supplier in the country had the chance to be nominated.

Marilyn Bradshaw & Bev O’Sullivan from What’s On 4 UK said: “Even after a huge awards programme last year, 2015 has seen our biggest and most exciting awards to date.

“We have we received a record number of votes and all of our finalists should be very proud to be held in such high esteem by the nation’s parents.”
