Kirsty McBeath from Bespoke Hair and Beauty, Laurencekirk, has been shortlisted in the Scottish Hair & Beauty Awards.

Kirsty told us this week how it was a ‘complete surprise’ to find herself in the top eight finalists for the women’s stylist of the year category.

Kirsty said: “This is a complete surprise to be nominated and to have made the final.

‘‘It’s great that some of my clients have put me forward for this award against some of the top women’s stylists in the country and I’m extremely honoured. I’d like to thank everyone who voted.

“I really love my job and the way that, within 45 minutes, I can completely transform someone’s day and make them feel better and more confident within themselves.”

Kirsty will find out if she is to be crowned winner of the category at the glamorous ceremony being held in Glasgow next Sunday, November 30.

With a public voting system, the Scottish Hair & Beauty Awards is a celebration of local talent.

Winners are a reflection of quality and customer service as chosen by members of the general public.

Nominations have come in from far and wide for an event which is destined to be a sparkling evening in the Scottish event calendar.

The official charity partner for this year’s event is the Make-A-Wish Foundation UK, with donations raised on the night going to the charity.
