A Mearn’s mum took on a personal fitness challenge and obstacle course to help raise funds for her children’s pre-school in Auchenblae.

Sally Goulding from Fordoun and training partner Karen Anderson raised £430 for Auchenblae Pre-school group through sponsorship after taking part in the PrimeFour Beast Race in Inverness.

Sally fitted in training around caring for her two young children, Fraser and Isla.

She said: “I changed some exercises at my circuit’s class to help build strength and increased my cardio as well as doing road running when I could on an evening. The event was tough but I have been really impressed with my children’s experience at Auchenblae pre-school and wanted to give something back.”

Auchenblae Pre-School manager Shauna McIntosh said: “We are so proud of Sally’s efforts and are delighted that she has chosen to donate her sponsorship money to the group.

“Funds will be used to buy new toys and supplies for the playroom.”
