‘Make your voice heard’

A public meeting will take place next week to give local residents the opportunity to quiz AWPR representatives about extensive roadworks on the A90 at Stonehaven.

Work has begun to demolish a bridge which carries the A90 trunk road over the B979 Netherley road, and significant disruption is expected as traffic is diverted through the town.

With the work expected to continue for at least 40 weeks, residents are being given the opportunity to come along and air their concerns and get any questions answered at the evening meeting on April 11.

As well as AWPR representatives and community councillors, Aberdeenshire Coucnil’s Head of Roads, Philip McKay and Director of Infrastructure, Stephen Archer, have been invited to the meeting.

Taking place at the Invercarron Resource Centre at 7.30pm, there will be a presentation by the Senior AWPR team, followed by two Q&A sessions followed by a summary of proposed action points by community council Chair Phil Mills-Bishop.

Mr Mills-Bishop said: “Come and make your voice heard; it may be the last opportunity to make a difference.”
