An on-line petition for a grade-separated junction at a notorious accident blackspot has been gathering momentum this past week.
The petition, which was set up by campaigner Jill Fotheringham for the the A937/A90 Montrose to Laurencekirk junction, has been signed more than 2200 times in the past couple of days since it was established.
It received over 1000 signatures in a little over 12 hours.
The campaign for a grade separated junction at the congested road was started back in 2004 after a fatal accident.Nine years of campaigning was marked recently.
The petition is to be sent to Transport Minister Keith Brown, to whom an invitation has been extended to visit the junction during the rush hour.
