The Volunteer Centre Aberdeenshire has issued an invitation to attend a Volunteer Co-ordinator Forum which is being held in the Mearns in June.
VCA now have Development Officers covering the Mearns area and feel the forum will be a good opportunity to introduce themselves to new organisations and touch base with existing organisations.
The event is a good opportunity for you to network with other organisations in your area and also enable VCA to pass on up to date information on topics of interest, as well as providing you with a forum to bring your topics of discussion to.
The meeting will be held on June 26 between 11.00 and 13.00 at the Church Centre in Inverbervie. Tea/coffee and biscuits will be available on arrival and throughout the meeting and lunch will be provided.
Proposed agenda items so far are: Brief overview of the work VCA undertakes and what we can do for organisations; The Saltire Award which was launched on April 1 – recognition for 12 to 25 year olds; Local Volunteering opportunities; and a talk by an invited speaker regarding the benefits of Volunteering to an organisation.
If you wish to place any topics of discussion or items onto the Agenda please feel free to do so, just send VCA an email before the event.
Please confirm your attendance no later than Tuesday June 19 by e-mailing email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling 01330 825794.
