British Heart Foundation (BHF) Scotland is currently searching for a very special person from the Stonehaven, Portlethen and Inverbervie areas, and surrounding towns and villages, to help raise the charity’s profile within local schools in South Aberdeenshire.
Volunteer schools coordinators work with local schools to encourage participation in BHF Scotland initiatives such as ‘Jump Rope For Heart’, as well as introducing BHF Scotland’s health and educational materials for young people. There is a comprehensive toolkit, award winning resources and a dedicated Fundraising Manager to help every step of the way.
Volunteering for the charity and helping to raise awareness and money will help continue to fight Scotland’s single biggest killer, coronary heart disease. No previous experience is needed since training and support are offered on a local level. However, the ideal person will have an understanding of the school system, enjoy motivating others, be organised and dependable and like public speaking. In return, volunteering can offer many benefits, from meeting new people to boosting your skills, knowing that you have made a valuable difference to BHF Scotland’s work.
The BHF is a pioneering research charity that has transformed the lives of people living with heart and circulatory conditions.
