Friday was “Wear it Pink Day” in support of the Breast Cancer Campaign. Groundwater Lift Trucks Ltd in Spurryhillock Industrial Estate Stonehaven had several events lined up for the day.

These included a Pink anagram quiz; a Bonnie babies competition; Alligator golf;

a Sponsored leg/back wax; Guess the number of sweets in the jar; Home bakes and cup cakes; a Mileage sweepie; Raffle and Whisky trail.

On the day each member of staff who did wear something pink were asked to donate £2.00 and a forfeit of £3.00 was charged for those not wearing pink!

Kate Taylor from the sales department co-ordinated the events.

Dale Spence, The parts manager and Bill Morrison from the parts department were both sponsored for waxing, Dale had his legs waxed and Bill his back. Angela Groundwater organised the waxing, and helped out on Bill’s back.

Marie Lamont, from Sparkles Health & Beauty in Stonehaven brought in her table and carried out the waxing in front of most of the staff.

Ivan and Kathleen Groundwater provided a snack lunch for the staff afterwards and a raffle was held.

The amount raised by the staff stands at £756 and more is still coming in.
