Yes Scotland to hold in public meeting in Stonehaven

A public meeting is to be held this Friday evening to discuss the subject of the independence referendum.

Yes Scotland has organised a public meeting in Stonehaven tomorrow (Friday, February 28) night to address any questions you might have, if you are still undecided about which way to vote. The panellists will include MP Mike Weir and MSP Nigel Don. The meeting, at the Indoor Bowling Club (next to the Beach Road caravan park), begins at 7.45pm and all are welcome.

Organiser Alan Thompson said: “The referendum, on September 18, is a truly historic occasion. The eyes of the world will be on Scotland as it makes the single most important decision in more than 300 years. It’s too big an issue to be left to the politicians alone and we want everyone in the country to play their part.”

Iain Emslie, of the Yes Stonehaven and Mearns grouping, added: “The people in our campaign come from a range of political and non-political backgrounds. To get involved locally contact us via yesstonehaven@aol.com or Yes Stonehaven and Mearns on Facebook.”
