STONEHAVEN boss Derek Allan is adamant his side will get their season back on track if they reproduce their early season form, after a humiliating defeat by East End on Saturday.
The game was under threat after a deluge of rain left a lot of surface water on Glenury park, but after some hard work by committee members, referee Morag Pirie deemed the game playable.
East End adapted to the conditions much quicker than Stoney a
nd produced attack after attack down the right-hand flank which eventually resulted in a penalty which was coolly dispatched to give them the lead.
The visitors were unrelenting in their pursuit of a second goal which came courtesy of a looping deflection, quickly followed by a third goal. The irony in all this is the best man on the park at this point was Stonehaven goalkeeper Michael Smith who made five or six very smart saves in the first half which made 3-0 look respectable.
In the second half Stonehaven did make fist of the game but they were matched in every department by East End who ran out convincing winners.
Mr Allan said: "We travel to Turriff on ATR cup duty on Saturday and I am demanding an improvement.
"This is our last chance of silverware this season and our players must step up to the plate and produce the form they are capable of and make all our hard work this year mean something."
The kick-off on Saturday at the Haughs is at 2.15pm and the game will be played to a finish.
Final Score: Stonehaven Juniors 0 - East End 3
