STONEHAVEN's Men's tennis teams have made a cracking start to the season.
In the first week of the NesLTA Leagues, history was made with the first match played by the newly established Men's D team.
A 3-1 away win at Ellon was achieved from new man Dave Malcolm along with the home grown youth of Douglas Adamson, Mathew Bryce and Michael Douglas.
The D's next tie is also away, an interesting encounter on the porous concrete courts of Aboyne.
Since then the A team of Graeme Walker, David Hamilton, Matthew Colvin and Alistair Cameron triumphed at home over Rubislaw C, a resounding 7-2 success.
The B team comprising Jim Acton, Barry Cameron, Daniel Colvin and Dale Harris won away at Longside.
To cap the season opening, there was a superb win for the freshly promoted Stonehaven men's C team.
A sunny and still evening in Stonehaven saw an overall 6-3 victory for the C squad against a quality Turriff A side.
