Boxing enthusiasts are in for a special treat next month when the amateur boxing show organised by Stonehaven Golf Club and Granite City ABC hits town.
The show in the Town Hall on Friday February 10 will feature at least ten bouts and Dave McAllistair of Aberdeen ABC has managed to persuade several top amateur boxers to appear.
There will be local interest as young Stonehaven boxer, Tony Smith, will take to the ring. Although small in stature, Tony has a huge heart and will no doubt have support of the local crowd for his fight. In contrast, a boxer from Poland who is 6’4” in height will also perform along with five international boxers from England, who are making the long trip North to appear in the show. These boxers will pit their skills against Scottish boxers who are keen to fight just weeks before the Scottish amateur boxing championship contests at the end of February.
The show will be a sell out with only twenty tickets remaining from the one hundred and seventy which were put on sale.
The tickets are £25 each, this includes a two course meal. If you would like to purchase a ticket, or organise a table for the night contact Stonehaven Golf Club on 01569 762124 to secure a place.
The remaining tickets will be sold on a first come first served basis.
