Brave Johnshaven lost by the odd goal after travelling with a severely depleted squad.
In the sixth minute Johnshaven took the lead. A Cameron Spink corner found its way out to DARREN FORBES, who volleyed with his right foot from well outside the box into the top right hand corner. 0-1
Insch were causing the away team all sorts of problems with corners and Stuart Beedie cleared off the line to prevent an equaliser after 18 minutes.
Johnshaven were pushing for a second and Couineaux-Rice had a shot well saved after 20 minutes.
Johnshaven conceded after 25 minutes when a ball over the top caused a mix up between defender and keeper. Spink appeared to gather the ball in his hands but a Insch player managed to force the ball out of them, and was then able to stroke the ball into the empty net as the keeper lay on the ground injured.
The keeper managed to continue though and pulled off a great save with his feet after 35 minutes.
Johnshaven felt aggrieved just before half time when it appeared Forbes was fouled to lose possession of the ball. An Insch striker ran and while keeper Spink made a valiant effort he could not prevent it crossing the line to give the home team a slender half time lead.

Injured Keeper Scott Spink was replaced by outfield player brother Cammy at the interval and Craig came on as the only sub available.
On 55 minutes Johner thought they’d equalised when a Forbes free kick was headed home by Keogh but the referee blew for offside.
Insch went 3-1 up after 66 minutes when a good move down the right found a man in acres of space and he smashed the ball into the roof of the net 3-1
The game was nearly over as a contest a couple minutes later were it not for some brilliant defending by Blease who got back superbly to block an effort on the line.
Johnshaven hadn’t given up hope and scored a great team goal with 15 minutes left. Sword won the ball well and played a superb ball inside to Craig. The youngster beat a man and whipped in a deep cross that YAN COUINEAUX-RICE got his head too and looped the ball into the far corner to bring them right back into it. 3-2
Johnshaven pushed Blease further up the pitch in the closing stages and were almost granted an equaliser when a Smith cross found Blease at the back post, but the big man’s header went narrowly wide.
