Teams from across Kincardine and Mearns will play in a tournament at the end of July in memory of a well known Stonehaven man.
During Saturday and Sunday, July 26 and 27, teams from Hive, Stonehaven Youth FC under 19’s, Cammachmore and Johnshaven Athletic will play against each other for the Mark Anderson Trophy.
The winning team will have the trophy presented to them and the tournament will become an annual event.
All gate receipts will go directly to the Maxillofacial Unit to support the funds already raised by The Market Bar each year.
Mark, who ran the Market Bar in the town with his wife, Lorna, helped to raise more than £100,000 for the maxifacial unit at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary before he sadly died earlier this year.
The games will take place at Glenury Park.
Stonehaven versus Cammachmore kicks off on Saturday the 26th at 12.45pm followed by Johnshaven Athletic versus Stonehaven Youth at 3pm.
The winners will play in the final at 3pm on Sunday the 27th with the third/fourth place tie taking place the same day at 12:45pm.
Hive have also announced they have again secured sponsorship from Vi Energy as well as welcoming new sponsors Inspired Design and Development Ltd.
Vi Energy are the new matchday bags sponsors,and also currently sponsor the club’s polo shirts and tracksuits.
Inspired Design will sponsor the new training footballs.
