Stonehaven travelled to New Advocates Park on Saturday to take on East End and looking to continue their recent good form.
The hosts of the Domino’s Pizza North Regional Cup match had the first chance after just three minutes when a Jordan Reid shot was well held by Stark.
It wasn’t until a quarter of an hour gone that The Hive had their first real attack. The ball was played out wide however the hosts did well to clear the danger.
Shortly afterwards, former East End player McTavish found himself unmarked at a corner but was unable to direct his header goalwards.
Anderson did well on the 26th minute but his low cross from the left was dealt with by Yeats.
It was Anderson who was next to try his luck just before the half hour but after a ball into his path he fired his shot wide of target.
Stonehaven won a free kick after 33 minutes and the ball into the box was headed over for a corner. The resulting ball in was nodded over by Steven Reid.
Cook came close to getting the opener with five minutes left of the first half when he took the ball on down the left but his cross was cut out at the back post.
The hosts had two chances in successive minutes shortly after with Jordan Reid having his shot held by Stark and a shot on target being headed off the line by Steven Reid.
Just as it seemed that the first half was going to end goalless The Hive took the lead on the 44th minute. A free kick was awarded on the edge of the East End penalty area and Martin Shand fired in a shot which was spilled by Fraser and Jonny Cook followed up to put the visitors in front.

Kyle Bellu came on for the injured Ewan Gibson after the half time break.
Stonehaven were first to threaten in the second half when a short free kick saw Shand slipped in but his shot across goal was blocked for a corner.
Two minutes later Jordan Reid got to the ball and played it into the box too easily but Todd’s shot was held.
After 52 minutes, Jonny Cook cut inside but his shot was held by Fraser.
A corner from the East End left fell to McTavish but his shot was easily held.
Straight away East End broke upfield and it was McTavish who did well to clear danger.
The Hive doubled their lead on the 70th minute in bizarre circumstances. A ball into the box wasn’t cleared by the defence failed and, as it looked to be heading over the line, it was turned over by Marr to give Stonehaven a two-goal cushion.
Despite being two goals down the hosts never gave up and Nacef saw a shot held at the front post
After 80 minutes, McWilliam slipped Shand through but after electing to square the ball to Bellu the chance was gone as the ball fell behind the striker.
With the game into injury time the hosts pulled a goal back through Jordan Reid when he fired past Stark.
Both sides had chances in the remaining minutes of injury time but it was The Hive who held on to progress to the Second Round.
