Kaimhill had a great chance in the fifth minute when a striker found himself in on goal, but keeper Mennie stood strong and thwarted the effort.

Stevie Scott picked up a groin injury and, with limited options on the bench, he was forced to go in goal.

It turned out to be a master stroke as he pulled off a stunning save almost immediately from a long range shot.

Johnshaven’s best chance of the 1st half fell to Smith, but he dragged his shot wide after creating space brilliantly for himself.

Half Time Score 0-0

Kaimhill were on top in the early stages and took a deserved lead with a hint of fortune early in second half when a miss hit shot landed at their striker’s feet. Score 1-0

In the 55th minute an injured Couineaux-Rice was replaced by Bruce.

Stevie Scott s had one of the truly special saves in amateur football as he dived to his left to pull off a save and then threw himself at the ball in the opposite direction to deny the rebound effort.

In the 69th minute Docherty replaced S. Blease.

Alexander Bruce scored with a terrific finish into the bottom far corner in the 78th minute, and the away team were unfortunate not to nick it in the end after Steven Smith had a strike brilliantly tipped over.
