Aberdeen FC Community Trust had a great couple of days in Portlethen with its school holiday programme.

The trust took its well-attended Soccer School to Aberdeenshire with a three-day Out and About Camp at Portlethen Academy.

Liam McGarry Scottish FA Community Coach said: “Our school holiday programmes are extremely popular and this year our main event Soccer School which is held at Balgownie Playing Fields, Bridge of Don, over the first two weeks of the holidays and caters for 380 kids, sold-out within three days.

“After the first two weeks within Aberdeen City, we then take our camp and travel out to Aberdeenshire where we deliver roadshow smaller camps either from Monday – Wednesday or Thursday and Friday camps.

“The idea for all of our camps is to centre everything around fun and enjoyment combined with player development through the use of specially designed skill practices for kids and small sided games. Over the course of the six weeks of summer holidays, we will coach over 1000+ kids and over 500 of those kids will come from the Shire.”
