Luthermuir lad, John Souttar (15) has been selected to represent Scotland at U17 level.
He played his first game against Belgium in a 0-0 draw at Forthbank Stadium, Stirling on August 28.
The Scotland team is due to fly out to Sweden on September 9 to play two games against Sweden in Skovde and Farkoping.
These games are a preparation for the European Championships which will take place in Georgia at the end of October.
Scotland have been drawn in a group with Luxembourg, Ukraine and Georgia.
Remarkably one of the Belgium U17 side has just moved from Anderlecht to Chelsea for a fee of £4 million.
John played for Luthermuir Primary and Brechin City Youths and joined the Dundee United Youth Academy at the age of eight.
He signed a three year full-time contact with United in June this year.
A number of team mates of John from Brechin City Youth also went to the Dundee United Youth Academy.
Ryan Gauld from Laurencekirk represented Scotland at U17 level last year and Adam McWilliam and Dean Easton now play for Montrose in the very competitive SFL U19 League.
Euan Spark signed a two-year contract with Dundee United in June and Ryan Milne plays for Luthermuir in the Aberdeenshire Amateur Premier Division.
John, who turns 16 next month, plays at centre-back for the Dundee United U20 side.
His younger brother Harry plays for Dundee United at U15 level.
