JOHNSHAVEN won the derby battle between the two Athletics last Monday, scoring seven goals at Stonehaven.
In the 13th minute Smith took the ball up the wing and crossed for Leon Dundas who sidefooted to give Johnshaven the lead.
Stonehaven hit back and Johnshaven keeper MacLean had to claw the ball out from under the bar in 18 minutes.
A couple of minutes later McLean had to push a free kick round the post. The resulting corner was played to the back post and Walger cleared off the line.
In 24 minutes a corner by Scott Beedie was played to the back post and a powerful header by James Mennie found the net to make it 2-0.
A Dundas shot was pushed over the bar by the Stonehaven keeper, then a corner was headed just over by a home attacker.
In 42 minutes Dundas who beat his man and picked out Scott Beedie at the far post and he scored with a half-volley to stretch the Johnshaven lead.
Right on half-time another Stonehaven corner looked to be sneaking in but was again cleared off the line by Walger.
In the 47th minute Walger crossed to Kevin Hector who ran in on goal and hit an unstoppable shot into the net for 4-0.
two minutes later Leon Dundas intercepted a passback and slid the ball past the keeper for his second and Johnshaven’s fifth goal of the game.
A minute later Stonehaven got a goal back after McLean slipped going for a cross.
In the 56th minute a Johnshaven corner by Scott Beedie was nodded home by James Mennie.
In the 67th minute Smith slipped the ball through to Dundas who was one on one with the Stonehaven keeper who dived at his feet to save.
Eight minutes later, MacLean made an excellent save at his near post.
johnshaven completed the scoring in the 84th minute. Their Trialist cut the ball back to Nayland MacLaren who volleyed home.
