LOCAL SCHOOLS FIGHT IT OUT AT FOOTBALL TOURNEY

THE Kincardine Primary Schools Football Association Armstrong Memorial Tournament took place on Saturday.

The event was held at Stonehaven's Mineralwell Park and 15 teams from 13 local schools took part in a morning of keenly fought games.

Winners of the Small Schools' Armstrong Memorial Trophy were Lairhillock with Gourdon runners-up.

After a gripping final which went all the way to penalties, Arduthie won the Armstrong Memorial Shield with Banchory second.

The winners and runners-up in the two competitions are pictured with Mrs Kate Armstrong who presented the trophies and medals.
