Last week the men played the first knockout round of the Ian McLaren handicap trophy at home to Banchory. In addition to Stewart Allsop’s ace at the 8th hole on Sunday there was also a hole in one at the 15th hole on July 17. After 35 years of trying Bill Jeffrey had his first hole in one at the 156 yard par 3 using a fairway wood. He was partnered by Ian Mearns.
