On Saturday, players from Bowling Clubs in Stonehaven, Inverbervie and Aberdeen joined together to mark Eric McWilliam’s 60 years of being a member of Stonehaven Bowling Club.

To mark the occasion, Eric presented a special anniversary badge to each player. Christine Grant, Eric’s daughter had the honours of throwing the jack and the first bowl. The results of the match were Eric’s Select 119 and Stonehaven Bowling Club 68.

Following a meal enjoyed by everyone, Mike Nevill on behalf of the bowlers, presented Eric with a gift.

In the evening, the celebrations continued with a social event held in the club house for family and friends. Music was provided by Mac’s Hi-Fi and during the evening there was a demonstration of Scottish Country Dancing from members of Stonehaven RSCDS class.

Graham Penny, the Men’s President, handed over the proceeds of the raffle to Eric who donated it to Cystic Fibrosis Research Trust.
