A Mackie Academy team won the Scottish Schools Quaich for the 3rd consecutive year.
Badminton Coach Robbie Robertson at Mackie Academy was delighted with the win being the first school in Scotland to achieve the feat. The team beat Stewart Melville of Edinburgh 3-2 in the final.
The school team was- Josh McKay; Sam Muir; Matthew Duguid; James Hinchcliffe.
The girls were Marie Leith; Eilidh Mitchell; Erin Patterson; Jody Harris.
Mackie players also took part in the Scottish Schools Championships winning 5 Scottish trophies. Matthew Duguid won the Senior Boys Singles & Doubles with partner Sam Muir. Josh McKay won the Under 14 Boys Singles & Mixed with partner Marie Leith
Marie Leith won the girls under 14 Doubles with partner Jody Harris, bringing 5 Scottish Schools Titles back to Mackie; another record achieved by the team.

Mill O’ Forest Primary pupils have retained their Badminton Sports Hall title for the seventh year running. On Friday May 8, the teams took part at the Regional final in Banchory.
Everyone took part in the event with scorers impressed with their great enthusiasm and After a competitive, but fun final, Mill O’ Forest took the top spot.
The event run by Active Sports is aimed at engaging primary children in Badminton.
The children complete a series of events designed at improving their skills and it is hoped they will retain their interest in the sport in the future.
