It’s been a good year for the club with all members involved in playing friendly and competitive matches and doing well.

The club finished third in the Kincardine Bowling League, hopefully getting nearer to getting Bervie BC’s name on the Jim Keil Cup.

Stephanie Simpson won the Champion of Champions Ladies Singles and David Keith won the Champion of Champions Men’s Singles.

Club members also did well in Open Competition, Gordon Lownie and Mark Beedie won the Laurencekirk pairs, Kevin Barbour, Gordon Lownie and Mark Beedie won the Laurencekirk triples.

Club champions were Amanda Karpinski Ladies Club Champion and David Keith Mens Club
Champion.

“We also had a very successful Bervie versus Gourdon Challenge match which the latter won by two shots.

President Derek Morrison said: “I hope we can keep this going every year.

“In 2014 we also awarded a well deserved honorary membership to Jim Milne and a long swervice award to John Peter, who has been a member of Bervie BC for over
50 years.

“I would like to take this opportunity to thank Bill Abernethy who has retired as our greenkeeper, he has done a great job looking after our green for the past
11 years.

‘‘Finally, I would like to thank everyone for their support throughout the season and look forward to seeing all, old and new members in April for the
2015 season.”
