Club Ties

The Bowls Scotland Triples Competition reached the semi final stage last week and the results were: A.McIntosh/M. McIntosh/F. Tattersall…..15 B. Corstorphine/R. Hunt/R. Strong……11

J.Lawson/M.Nevill/W. Davie…..18 D.Mundie/A.McAllan/J.McNab…..9

The final will take place along with the other Club finals on 14th/15th September.

The Club Championship is now down to the Semi Final stage and previous winners Steve Gellatly and Alister McIntosh are favourites to reach the final although it won’t be easy for them against new member Gary Falconer and Graeme ‘Speedy’ Penny respectively..

Seniors Section

The Senior team had an excellent day’s bowling and hospitality at Letham BC. and managed a good win against an Angus County Select by 77 shots to 69 shots.

In the Senior Counties League, Mearns were well beaten by Dundee City who took 6 points against only 1 – alas putting Mearns to the bottom of the League which is headed by Perthshire.

Members please note that there is an end of season Triples Competition on Sunday September 8th and there is an entry sheet in the Clubhouse.
