The Dunnottar Open Handicap Competition was played recently at Mill Lade, Stonehaven.
The competition was won by Brian Eddie who beat Alan Gauld 15-8 in the final to retain the trophy he also won last year.
Brian beat Boyd Falconer 15-11 in one semi final and Alan beat Sean Simpson in the other 15-5.
The weather played its part and all the games were held in warm dry conditions.
The first round of the Rosebowl has been played. Brian Eddie beat Andrew Eddie 11-3 in the final to score four points and Andrew scored three points for runner-up. Graeme Eddie scored two points and Archie Gauld one point for third and fourth place respectively.
Semi-final scores were Brian Eddie 11, Archie Gauld 7; Andrew Eddie 11, Graeme Eddie 10.
Five scoring nights of the handicap league have now been completed and the leading scores are:
1. Graeme Eddie - 308 points, 2. Andrew Eddie - 292, 3. Brian Eddie - 244, 4. George Mair - 237, 5. Mathew Meldrum - 227, 6. Craig McDonald - 185.
