The qualifying stages of the winter league come to a close this weekend with most of the places for the finals in the doubles competition almost settled.
A score better than 62 from Alister Barnett and Tom Simpson, and any stutter from the pairings of Callaghan and Summers who also have a 62 to drop or Halliday and Campbell 64 to drop could see them take a place in the nett doubles a week on Saturday on finals day one.
The four places up for grabs in the scratch competition continue to be unchanged and no shocks are expected in this category with teams scoring order going with seeding last Saturday.
With some of the expected qualifiers in the singles heading for the League Cup final on the Sunday of finals weekend there may still be some places up for grabs to force them into the top 10. David Henderson, Alan Wood and Graham Garden are all waiting in the wings to pick up any positions that may be vacated.
Players unable to play on finals weekend should let the match committee know so replacements can be notified.
