With the summer golf season coming to an end last weekend was the last chance to put any notable silver ware on the table.
Saturdays Barlow cup was won by Bert Droy scoring 40 stableford points one shot better than the chasing trio of Brian Thain, Roger Smith and Eric Dickie. With favourable conditions Bert produced his best round of the year to take the trophy.
Sundays Neil Selbie & Co. Texas Scramble is always a popular event and this year was no exception. With a tricky wind blowing across the course scoring was slightly higher than usual.
The four man team of C.Mackay, J.Hepburn, S.Reid and P.Jupp took the top prize with a score of 54.1 only 0.6 ahead of the young team of M.Wiseman, D.Ramage, C.Black and M.Day.
